I'm Deb Oskin, and I'm an Ordained Minister and a Tax Pro.I'm Ordained in the Church of the Brethren to Peace Ministry. Basically, my work has involved interacting with (and sometimes serving in leadership for) various peace and anti-war groups in Central Ohio. There are many of them! I served as President for Central Ohioans for Peace for 5 years, and was also active in the Central Ohio Peace Network.My most recent work has focused on interfaith organizations, including the Interfaith Center for Peace (Treasurer and Past President), Faith Communities Uniting for Peace (Co-Convener), and the Ohio Council of Churches (Executive Committee), where I currently serve on the Foundation Board of Directors. Within the Church of the Brethren, I serve on the Southern Ohio District Board (4 years as Chair), the Southern Ohio New Church Development Commission, the denominational New Church Development Advisory Committee, and speak each year at Annual Conference about Clergy Taxes.And I'm also a Tax Pro. In fact, I'm a Clergy Tax "Subject Matter Expert"---that's 'tax talk' for "I know all the ins and outs." I've been preparing Clergy taxes since 1989, and I've seen it all.I welcome contact from Clergy and Church Treasurers with questions about this Complex Area of the Tax Code. Advice is free. Really!And I help Clergy and Church Leaders with tax returns and audits.
